Rule #1 with kid desserts: layer anything and they’ll think you’re the most amazing chef ever. Faced with a dessert crisis and a bare pantry, you can layer anything (canned fruit and cereal) and kids will love it. Drizzle it with chocolate and a dusting of powdered sugar and they’re awestruck. Kids are the best.
There’s not much of a recipe to these strawberry napoleons. What you see is what you get. The pastry layers are Pepperidge Farm puff pastry, the whipped cream is Rich’s Whip, the strawberry inspiration came from Driscoll’s.
The kids were blown away, and I’m shaking my head because it’s one of the easiest things I’ve made in a while. Win!
Happy Valentines Day!
